Slumdog Millionaire : Slumdog Millionaire pockets more honours.

Slumdog Millionaire : Slumdog Millionaire pockets more honoursSlumdog Millionaire : Slumdog Millionaire pockets more honours.
Filmfare awards comes and goes every year.No body notices because all know that bollywood is one happy family.Uncle will award to his niece and aunt to his uncle and so on!Almost all in Bollywood are related to each other so much so that a full family tree can be traced.Recently one accomplished actress collected a award and when the paparazzi asked her for which film, she was at a loss.Awards are always pre planned and bought over by the corporates or advertising agencies who promote their own models. No wonder you don’t see the talented artists like Nana Patekar,Om puri,Amir Khan or Nassiruddin Shah gracing these doubtful occasions.Actresses(if you can call them that) come on the stage wearing expensive clothes and thank their father mother and aunty uncle’s for the same.
Can we have one award or film festival in India where all is not biased?I don’t think so.We live in a country where connections matter.Imagine a cop catching a goon on the street stealing something and the goon turns around and takes out his mobile to call his uncle or father who is something.Police has to leave him.Connection matters in India.
When the Hollywood film Pink Panther was being released Aishwarya’s papaji alias Amitabh Bacchan and mammiji alias Jaya Bacchan and husbandji alias Abhishek Bacchan were present(Thank God Amar singh ji was absent). The Firang film producer must have footed the bill for the whole Bacchan clan. What one fails to understand is that Jaya Bacchan is a busy parliamentarian and does she get enough time to attend these lavish film awards and premiers?I doubt if she ever raises any questions in parliament. The same goes with other bollywood mega clans like the Kapoors and Deols etc.
However the big slap on bollywood face was given by none other than Slumdog millionaire producer and director Danny boyle.Scum covered Mumbai kids are shown being tortured by police and thugs and adjacent to these slums we have ever shinning bollywood.Mira nair said rightly that we Indians have lost our sense of justice but not glittering award ceremonies.People have stopped believing in these award ceremonies which India shinning but ignore the situation of 70% of Indians.
